Samsung is still rolling out the Android 14-based One UI 6 update to eligible phones. The release that started with the Galaxy S23 has now reached the Galaxy A72. However, as usual, the global A72 Android 14-based One UI 6 update is limited to select regions.
The Galaxy A72 Android 14 update is rolling out to users in Europe, with those in Russia reporting the availability. We expect more regions to be receiving the upgrade now, as it has been a few hours since the update went live. You might want to check for the update, as it is the last major OS upgrade that will arrive on the device.
Samsung released the Galaxy A72 in 2021 running Android 11, with Android 14 rolling out for the phone, it means three OS upgrades have been delivered. Moving forward, the device will get monthly security patches as it nears the end of its support period.
Meanwhile, the update is rolling out with version number A725FXXU6EWL4 and weighs about 2GB. It delivers all the expected features while bumping the Android security patch level to December 2023 to increase system security and stability.
