Samsung continues to distribute the latest security patch update to its high-end and mid-range phones. The update has already been seeded for the Galaxy S22 and S21 series in different regions, albeit started with the Galaxy A32. It is currently available for another affordable offering – Galaxy F62 – while the S20 FE is also getting the update.
The Galaxy F62 and S20 FE July 2022 security patch is available in India and Europe, respectively. At the time of this report, the update is exclusive to S20 FE users in Germany, with other regions expected to start receiving the update soon. And going by the update log, system security has improved, while performance and bug fixes are also part of the package.
Meanwhile, the update can be identified with a firmware version E62SFDDU2BVG1 in India, while those in Europe are getting the update as G780GXXS3CVF3. Also, the 5G variants of the S20 FE are receiving the latest patch and have arrived in many European regions. It comes with version number G781BXXS4FVF3 along with privacy and security vulnerabilities patches.
