Another Galaxy smartphone from the M-series is getting the Android 13-based OneUI 5 from Samsung – it’s the Galaxy M23 5G Android 13 update. The stable version of the OneUI 5 started arriving on the flagships by October making Samsung the fastest in terms of Android 13 rollout(second to Google).
Interestingly, the brand mentions that the Android 14 rollout will be even faster and will probably get to a vast majority of Galaxy smartphones (just like how the Android 13 is made available to a lot of Galaxy smartphones).
Galaxy M23 5G Android 13 update bears firmware version M236BXXU1BVK5 and will also include the November security patch(not that of December), according to SamMobile.
What’s new?
You should be expecting features like better personalization and customizations, video wallpaper, enhanced Material You, tweaks to Bixby Routines, Smart Suggestion Widget, and a new share Panel notification among many others.
The one-year-old smartphone (which has received the Android 12-based OneUI 4) should look like the flagships with the OneUI 5. After this Galaxy M23 5G Android 13 update, the smartphone might still get OS upgrades until Android 15 – which is impressive.
