Samsung has started rolling out a new Galaxy S23 update. The latest release brings the new security patch and we expect all the reported issues after the One UI 6.1 upgrade to be sorted out by this update.
After so much anticipation, Galaxy S23 units started getting the One UI 6.1 upgrade a few days ago. It didn’t take long before reports started surfacing with various issues users were facing after the upgrade. These problems include slow charging, fingerprint issues, display issues, and others.
Samsung acknowledged these bugs promising a fix in the future and it seems they are now rolling it out as promised. Perhaps, the company knew there would be issues and decided to release One UI 6.1 update with the March 2024 security patch. They are now rolling out the April 2024 security patch update, which has supposedly addressed some of the problems introduced by One UI 6.1.
The update is rolling out in Europe and comes with a version number S91xBXXS3CXD2. It weighs 400 MB. So far, it seems the update has addressed the fingerprint issue and we hope to confirm whether the update has resolved other problems soon.

As usual, Samsung is rolling out the update in batches, meaning it will take some time before it arrives for your device. You can force the update if you stay in Europe when you visit Settings>>System update>>Download and install. Follow the screen prompt to download the update and reboot your device to complete the installation.
