More Xiaomi phones are now adopting the new Android operating system. Last week, few eligible devices, which include Redmi Note 9 Pro, received the stable MIUI 12 based Android 11 update in India. The Redmi K30 5G, Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Redmi K30 Pro also received the update, but in China. However, the company has begun deploying the update to the global version of these phones, starting with the Mi 10.
Meanwhile, the Global Android 11 update for Xiaomi Mi 10 is still in the Beta phase and has a build number, MIUI 12.2.1.0 RJBMIXM. It’s a limited release for now, and only Mi pilot testers are going to receive it. The public rollout is expected to take longer than usual, but we hope not. And if you decide to flash the recovery ROM, below is a piece of advice for you from Xiaomi.

This update is a limited release for Mi Pilot testers, which means that the update process might take longer than usual. Expect heating and other performance issues after you update – it might take some time for your device to adapt to the new version. Remember that some third-party apps aren’t yet compatible with Android R, and you might not be able to use them normally.

The global Android 11 update for Xiaomi Mi 10, aside from upgrading the OS, also bumped the Android security patch to October 2020. It brings new vlogs templates and vlogs can now be saved as drafts. Other changes are optimization and bug fixes.
