Xiaomi will unveil its next iteration of the MIUI Android sling in the coming weeks. With that development, we expect the current version to arrive on more phones this week. Last week, a handful of eligible phones bagged the update, but the Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro are yet to receive the update globally. The update arrived in Europe on June 26 and started seeding for the Indian models a month after. It was released in Indonesia shortly, while the Taiwan models have also received the update. Surprisingly, the global Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro MIUI 12.5 are yet to start rolling out.
According to previous reports, over 14 Xiaomi phones are expected to start pushing the update this month. Of course, some device on the list has received the update, but we expect a wider rollout in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the POCO X3 NFC is yet to start receiving the update for the first time, and it is likely to arrive this month. Also, we expect the global Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro MIUI 12.5 update to start seeding. Going by feedback from the device early adopters, the update has addressed some of the problems left by the Android 11 update. Perhaps, that’s the reason for MIUI 12.5 before MIUI 13 will starts rolling out.
With MIUI 12.5, Xiaomi has reduced power consumption and background memory usage. They also improve gesture response time and made it possible to uninstall some system apps. System performance has been improved, with some users reporting a better battery life. We anticipate the same for the global models of the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro, and hopefully, they’ll start getting the update this month.
That said, you should keep an eye on our MIUI 12.5 tracker page to know when the update starts seeding. As usual, it will arrive on select users for preview. That’ll only take a couple of days before the public will start receiving the build.
