Xiaomi is set to announce the next iteration of its MIUI in August, and they will try to finalize MIUI 12.5 deployment. That has seen eligible phones bagged the update in the past few weeks. It’s also expected to be a busy week for the Chinese company as they continue rolling out MIUI 12.5 to more eligible phones. They have since started rolling out the global Mi 11i MIUI 12.5 update to reduce the number of phones waiting for the update. The update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RKKMIXM. It brings the features of the New MIUI OS to improve system performance and responses to gestures. And with extra optimization, MIUI has become faster, smoother, and lighter. There has been a reduction in power consumption and background memory usage to enhance performance. Also, with 20x more rendering power, there are now few limits to what you can see on your screen.
The global Mi 11i MIUI 12.5 update brings the June 2021 security patch to increase system security and stability. It also brings a stable MIUI based on Android 11, but that’s probably for users yet to upgrade their Android OS. Meanwhile, that means you’ll switch to the MIUI system launcher as the third-party launcher is incompatible with MIUI 12.5 phones running Android 11. Also, the ugly square chat bubbles and overlapping of the keyboard on floating windows. Hopefully, a new update that’ll address these problems arrives in the future.
