New Global Redmi 9A update released in India. Download MIUI 12.22.0 RCDMIXM…
The latest iteration of MIUI might be the recently released MIUI 13 Android skin, but some phones are yet to grab the MIUI 12.5 build. Redmi 9A is one of those phones, but that has changed now for the global units, as the Chinese variants received the update in September last year. Interestingly, they’ve received the Enhanced version a few days ago, but we can’t confirm if the global Redmi 9A MIUI 12.5 update is the Enhanced Edition.
Xiaomi is pushing a stable Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 to the global Redmi 9A users. The update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RCDMIXM – and weighs 1.8GB. It has introduced the features of MIUI 12.5 and that of Android 11. And while that’s commendable, there are some heads up.
After upgrading your device to Android 11, third-party launchers will stop working on gestures. To continue using gestures navigation, you’ll have to revert to the Xiaomi system launcher. Also, early adopters reported some bugs and glitches, and hence, we recommend a backup before jumping on the global Redmi 9A MIUI 12.5 update.
Meanwhile, the rollout is currently limited to Mi Pilots for preview. That’ll last for a couple of days before it starts seeding for the public. However, there’s a link below this post if you opt for manual installation. And after upgrading, you can check if that Memory Extension function has been enabled via this link.
