Although most eligible devices are already running MIUI 13, Xiaomi is still rolling out MIUI 12.5. The update is currently hitting the global Redmi 9C NFC weeks after it arrived for European users.
The global Redmi 9C NFC MIUI 12.5 update is seeding with a version number MIUI 12.5.3.0 RCSMIXM and weighs 1.9GB. From the build number, the device has been upgraded to Android 11, while the changelog says the July 2022 security patch is part of the package.
Of course, all the MIUI 12.5 goodies have been delivered with the current build. However, since it’s a cross-section Android upgrade, we recommend backing up your data before installing, as the update might contain bugs.
Meanwhile, it’s only selected users that are getting the global Redmi 9C MIUI 12.5 update at the moment. We expect a public rollout in the coming days, but you can access the ROM using the link below.
