It seems the wait for the global release of MIUI 13 is over as the Chinese tech company starts pushing its latest iteration of MIUI to Redmi Note 10 globally. The device is getting the update ahead of flagship Xiaomi phones globally, but exclusively to Mi Pilots. Given that it’s a stable beta build at the moment, it might take time before the update becomes available for the public.
Xiaomi is believed to announce the global MIUI 13 release plan during its launch event scheduled on January 26. Three days before the event, the company has released the global Redmi Note 10 stable Android 12-based MIUI 13 update. The update is hitting eligible units with a version number – MIUI 13.0.3.0 SKGMIXM – and weighs 2.6GB. It comes with expected features, although some newly introduced security features are missing.
Meanwhile, the MIUI 13 control center is part of the package, but you have to enable it after upgrading to MIUI 13. To do that, head over to settings > notification and control center > control center style and select the new control center. Also, there have been additions of widgets and wallpapers, but it’s unclear at the moment if the MiSans font is part of the package.
Interestingly, the device has upgraded to stable Android 12 for the first time. Unfortunately, some of its features have been eclipsed by the presence of MIUI., but Xiaomi is working to introduce some notable features of the update.
