The stable build is already seeding in China and has since arrived for the Pad 5 series and Mi 11, with other devices expected to get the update in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, none of the phones go to the new control center, but it seems Xiaomi has started the deployment. According to the latest report, the new control center has arrived for select users.

Before the official unveiling of MIUI 13, the new MIUI control center has been on the internet. On the hands-on video released by the company’s CEO, Lei Jun, the revamped control center was visible. It shows a reworked interface, where some of the quick settings options have been moved to a new location. The brightness and volume bars have been moved to four quick settings at the top. At the bottom, there’s a new addition – Mi Smart Hub – for interconnection between devices and the Xiaomi ecosystem.

With the introduction of MIUI Next, Xiaomi plans to connect all IoT devices (television, tablets, speakers, and computers). You would be able to transfer videos, audio, and applications across all platforms. However, the feature is currently on the closed beta test but would reach stable users soon. Xiaomi plans to use the Mi Smart Hub to link it devices for a seamless connection, and will integrate it in the new MIUI control center for quick accessibility.

And while we wait for the arrival of the new MIUI control center to stable ROM, there’s a way to enable it on your Xiaomi phones. That would require downloading and installing an app – System UI Plugin. The app was extracted from Mi 12 Pro and would work only on Xiaomi phones running Android 12 based on MIUI 13.
