The Redmi Note 8T got the Android 11 upgrade last on the Note 8 series lineup. That’s not the last major upgrade that would come to the device, as it has been confirmed to receive the current version of MIUI – MIUI 13. Meanwhile, while we wait for the rollout, the global Redmi Note 8T MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update has been released.
Xiaomi started upgrading the global Redmi Note 8T to Android 11 a couple of months, and probably delayed the current rollout. Fortunately, the update has been released to Mi Pilots for preview. They’ll test the build for a couple of days, and if there’s no bug, the public rollout will commence.
The global Redmi Note 8T MIUI 12.5 Enhanced is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.2.0 RCXMIXM. It comes with all the expected features – Atomized Memory, Liquid Storage, Focused Algorithm, and Smart Balance. Also, the Android security patch level has been bumped to December 2021 to increase system security and stability.
After upgrading your device, you can enable the Memory Extension function. It converts part of your device’s internal memory into virtual RAM. About when MIUI 13 will arrive for Redmi Note 8T, there’s no ETA. You can follow our tracker page to know when the update becomes available.
