The wait is now over as Xiaomi finally starts seeding the global Redmi Note 9 Pro MIUI 12.5 update. It’s been a frustrating past couple of months for the device users, particularly those running the global ROM. That’s because the European users received the update months ago. At a time, we thought Xiaomi wanted to skip MIUI 12.5 and release the Enhanced Edition instead, but we are wrong. Nevertheless, they have started pushing the much-anticipated update to global users.
As usual, permission Redmi Note 9 Pro MIUI 12.5 update is seeding for Mi Pilots members. The idea is to preview the ROM, and if in the end there’s no bug detected, the public will start getting the update. It will arrive with a version number – MIUI 12.5.2.0 RJZMIXM. The build weighs 738MB and comes with all the anticipated features. Although the update log says otherwise, you will notice minor changes after upgrading to the latest MIUI version.
The update has revamped the control center and notification panel. It’s now possible to reply to messages seamlessly without opening the apps. And when you reveal either one, you can swipe left or right to show the other. Aside from the changes, the update has bumped the Android security patch level to increase system security and stability. Meanwhile, after upgrading your Redmi Note 9 Pro, you have to grant app permission as the update revoked existing permissions.
