Today, the global stable MIUI 12 update was released for the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE in Europe, weeks after the Chinese version received the update. The same update was also expected for the Mi 9 Lite, which sold as Mi CC9 in China. It turns out the update is now arriving for those users in Europe.
Going by the reports on Mi community forum, not only the European users are getting the global stable MIUI 12 update for Mi 9 Lite. Those users in Russia, alongside the global users, have all started receiving the stable beta build now.
The update is hitting these regions with a different version number. While it’s arriving on the European units with a build number, MIUI 12.0.2.0.QFCEUXM, the global users, are receiving a MIUI 12.0.2.0.QFCMIXM build. If you’re running the Russian ROM, you’ll receive an update with a software designation, MIUI 12.0.2.0.QFCRUXM.
Of course, the update brings all the features of MIUI 12, but again, the super wallpaper is missing. Xiaomi is letting the premium device, particularly those with AMOLED display, enjoy that. Aside from that, you also get an updated Android Security patch, bug fixes, and system optimization.
The update, however, is a beta stable, and as such, only a few users will get it. Depending on how the preview turns out — if there are no damage-causing bugs — the public rollout will be initiated. However you can still try and download the update from the link below, but it might require an authorized Mi account.
