Xiaomi recently released HyperOS 2 rollout plan for its global customers. According to the rollout schedule, Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro are expected to receive the much-anticipated upgrade first, but this does not seem to be the case as the company has started rolling out the Global Xiaomi 14 Android 15-based HyperOS 2 update.
The much-anticipated stable HyperOS 2 update is now rolling out for the Xiaomi 14 users. It is a big upgrade with a package size of 6.3 GB. The update comes with a version number OS2.0.4.0.VNCMIXM, and we believe it has delivered all the expected features, except the ones exclusive to the Chinese users.
While it is the Global ROM users that are getting stable Android 15 upgrade with HyperOS 2, it seems Xiaomi started with those yet to upgrade to the latest OS, given the size of the build. Nevertheless, we expect the rollout to expand to more regions and people in the coming days.
How to download the Global Xiaomi 14 Android 15 update
Xiaomi has limited the release to a few regions Globally (Portugal and Russia). We expect expansion to other regions in the coming days, but you can check for the upgrade via the updater app regardless of your location. However, be sure to back up your data before installing the build, as it’s a cross-section upgrade, and some system apps have yet to adapt, which might cause some glitches and bugs.
Also, if you will be installing Android 15 on your Xiaomi 14 for the first time, you might experience some issues with the fonts. Early adopters are reporting it, but there’s a workaround you can find here. Meanwhile, you can find the complete features of the Xiaomi HyperOS 2 here.
