Xiaomi Pad 5 starts getting Android 12 update globally
Xiaomi has now started distributing the much-anticipated Android 12 update to global users. The update was released a couple of hours ago, and as such, only a few users have gotten it for preview.
After a series of beta tests, Xiaomi released the Pad 5 Android 12 update to users in Europe to hint at an imminent global release. As expected, those running the global ROM are now receiving the update, which comes in a 3.0 GB package.
The Global Pad 5 Android 12 update is seeding with a version number MIUI 13.1.1.0 SKXMIXM. It brings a stable MIUI based on Android 12, a September security patch, optimizations, and bug fixes.
According to early adopters, the update has resolved the DPI issue, which made it impossible to set a custom DPI. However, there hasn’t been an introduction of new widgets as expected, meaning you are stuck with the old ones. Hopefully, they’ll arrive with future updates as the Chinese models got new ones recently.
