The Google camera app is the most sought after camera app among smartphone users. It comes with unique features that are not on stock camera apps. Also, the processing speed and detailed images have seen the demand increase. Of course, Google is aware and has kept improving their camera app with each new update. They recently released a new update to the Google Camera Go, which is for entry-level smartphones.
Google Camera Go first debuted in March 2019. It’s for less powerful phones, but can still be installed on any Android phone running Android 8 and up. The latest update to the camera app brings portrait mode and Night mode. Interestingly, auxiliary cameras work after installing the latest update and few other features. Naturally, you can’t install the Google camera app on other Android phones except Pixels, but thanks to developers that provides a mod version of it.
The mod version of the Google camera Go 2.5 is now available for download. You can download and install your Android phone. It brings the features mentioned above while image processing, which has been exclusive to premium phones, was added too. However, the performance wouldn’t be the same as the Google Camera Go is a lighter version. Nevertheless, you still get a decent performance and quick image processing time.

- Head over to this link and download the Mod version
- After downloading, double click on the APK file to start installation
- You might get a warning installing an app from an unknown source, ignore and continue. Also, you might to enable ‘install unknown apps’ under settings>>privacy
- Once you’re done with the installation, launch the app and enjoy.

A new version of the Google camera Go has been released. The current version – V2.12 Mod is based on Google Camera Go 2.1244. The new version brings support for multiple Redmi and Samsung phones. It supports multiple camera lenses, Night mode for night photography in low light situation, and HDR10+. You can download from here.
