Samsung has unveiled its latest and most powerful Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G. It debuted alongside the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus, and given the features, the device is the more sophisticated of the trio. Samsung has equipped the phone with cutting-edge features and has integrated the S Pen, meaning they might have killed the Note series. As expected, the Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G has the company’s leading camera sensors, which is seen in recent photo comparisons with the best in the industry. Nevertheless, with the Google camera on Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G, you will get more.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G camera specs
The South Korean tech giant still features the 108MP F/1.8 primary sensor from Galaxy S21 Ultra on S22 Ultra. It’s accompanied by a 12MP F/2.2 ultra-wide sensor and telephoto shooters – 10MP F2.4 3x and 10MP F4.9 10x periscope zoom. Also at the front, you see a 40MP F2.2 selfie sensor, meaning there’s not a huge improvement camera-wise from the predecessor. However, there has been some introduction to the camera. It now features a new AI enhancement, which uses the optimized NPU to improve photo and video quality in low-light situations.

Google camera remains the most sought-after camera app out there. The company has consistently improved its app to enhance image quality even on phones with mediocre snappers. Of course, the S22 Ultra features the best camera hardware out there, but you might improve some things with Gcam installed on it. However, with the Android 11 update, Samsung seems to block Gcam from accessing its selfie cameras, and hence, the installation of Gcam on Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G will only work on the rear shooters.
