Here’s the crux of the matter: Google Contact gets WearOS 3 design and it’s available on the Play Store.
Some apps have already been redesigned since last year and Google Contact is joining in.
Previously, the Google Contact was always updated together with previous Wear OS, that is, Wear OS 2 and earlier. However now, Google Contact gets WearOs 3 design via Play Store as it appears as its separate app on the platform.
Google Contact gets WearOS 3 design, noticeable changes
The first thing noticed on the Wear OS 3 design of Google Contact is the search button underneath a curved time. The Contacts appear like pill-shaped containers and the starred people are displayed first. Furthermore, contact complications can be added for quick calling and messaging on your watch face, the first initial of their name is used if an image isn’t available.
Google Contact gets WearOS 3 design which is not considered a very drastic update as outline-style icons are seen all through. From a screenshot on the Pixel Watch, four slots are seen with an analogue clock which might signify complication slots.
Sources saw the new Google Contacts app, which has version 1.4.1.x, on the Galaxy Watch 4. Before the update is installed, you must grant permission to your contacts first. Meanwhile, Google gets WearOS 3 design but it hasn’t been spotted on older wearables. We still hope it will be rolled out to all gradually. Nevertheless, you can still install it from the “Apps on your phone” section of your Watch Play Store.
