The Google Pixel 8 will be succeeding the Google Pixel 7 series and according to reports, is set to surpass Pixel 7. As usual, we’ve got leaks, and this time, it’s the Google Pixel 8 battery size.
Details of the Google Pixel 8 battery size
According to a recent report by Android Authority, the upcoming Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones are expected to come with larger batteries and faster charging speeds compared to their predecessors. This news is sure to excite Pixel fans who value long-lasting battery life and quick charging capabilities.
The maximum charging speeds on both devices are set to receive a boost. The Pixel 8 will see an increase to 24W charging speed, up from 20W on previous models, while the Pixel 8 Pro will offer an even faster 27W charging speed, compared to the previous 23W. It’s worth noting that Qi wireless charging capabilities will remain unchanged, as reported by 9to5Google a month ago.
However, the most intriguing aspect of these new devices is the Pixel 8 battery size enhancements. The Pixel 8 Pro is expected to have a battery capacity increase from 4,926 mAh on the Pixel 7 Pro to 4,950 mAh, providing a slight improvement. Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 will feature a more significant battery upgrade, with capacity rising from 4,270 mAh on the Pixel 7 to 4,485 mAh. Although the 5% increase may not seem substantial, it should be noticeable and contribute to extended usage.
Additional reports suggest that both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will support Wi-Fi 7 compatibility as part of the Tensor G3 upgrade. Furthermore, continuous Ultra-Wideband (UWB) support is expected, although limited to the Pixel 8 Pro. The usage of an improved UWB module is also rumored.
In terms of availability, there are indications that the Pixel 8 may be released in several new countries. According to electronic warranties, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, and Portugal are among the additional locations where these phones will be offered. While Google has made progress in expanding the availability of Pixel phones, there is still room for improvement in meeting the demand in various regions.
As the launch of the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro approaches, users can look forward to enhanced battery performance(thanks to the supposed new Pixel 8 battery size), faster charging speeds, and potential expansions in availability. These advancements aim to further solidify the Pixel series as a top choice for smartphone enthusiasts seeking optimal power efficiency and reliable performance.
