Rumours of the new Google wearable, Google Pixel Watch have been flying around online ever since the company talked about the sleek watch. Sources had revealed the internal codename to be Pixel Rohan, unveiled the dimensions of the Watch, and now the Big G has revealed the details of the Google Pixel Watch chip in the course of the Google I/O conference on May 11.

Earlier, a tipster, Yogesh Brar revealed on Twitter that the Google wearable was going to have some features of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 in terms of both hardware and software. According to sources, the company is planning on debuting the wearable with the Samsung Exynos 9110 chip that was first released in August 2018.

Although when it was reported that the Google Pixel Watch chip was going to be from the Korean brand, many had expected it to be the new Exynos W920 present in the Galaxy watch 4 which will up its performance since the chip is a 5-nanometer chip bearing Cortex-A55 cores.

Well, different from what the Android community expected, the supposed Google Pixel watch chip, Exynos 9110, is a 10-nanometer chip with two Cortex-A53 cores similar to the Snapdragon Wear 4100+, although the latter is a 12-nanometer process.

While the Exynos W920 seems to be a good chip as Samsung increased the general CPU performance by 20 per cent, there’s still an excuse for the wearable not housing it, the reason being that the project started some time ago.

Apart from the Google Pixel watch Chip, what other details?

Even though sadly, the Google Pixel watch chip seems to be an old model from 2018, the chip isn’t everything as we still expect much sleek software and hardware from the wearable. An individual who came across the Pixel watch earlier said that the wearable is about half an inch thick and one and a half inches in diameter. Brar also mentioned that the new Google Pixel Watch will come in two sizes with at least 4 colour variants as well as the same sensors, ECG functions, and other features as Galaxy Watch 4.
