Google Play system update for May 2023

The Google System for Android comprises Google Play Services, the Play Store, and the Google Play system. They’re the three cores of Android, and it’s necessary to update them every month, which Google has been doing for years. With the latest Google Play System update for May 2023, the company has introduced new features and optimized performance by fixing some bugs.

Google has enhanced the use of the Nearby Feature on Android by introducing self-sharing. It is now easy to send files, links, and text from one of your connected devices to the other. With the new update, you won’t have to accept the incoming share on the receiving device, which is similar to AirDrop on Apple devices. Of course, the Nearby Share feature is exclusive to Chromebooks and Windows PCs.

Also, it enabled support for the installation and use of video streaming apps in-car infotainment systems through the Android Auto app. The Google Help app, which is an on-device support and knowledgebase hub, got a revamp with the introduction Material You Design.
