Galaxy Watch 4 has gotten many tweaks to its Google Assistant and then Google’s Contact app is making its way to the Wearable after it has been spotted on the Pixel Smartwatch. This app was previously available on most Wear OS smartwatches with Samsung joining in now.
Google’s Contact app supported on the Watch 4 means users can easily backup their smartphone numbers and sync them across all their devices. This allows users to sync their phone contacts to their Galaxy Watch 4. Furthermore, contacts stored in the Google cloud can also be synced to the Watch 4.
Using the Google’s Contact app on the Watch 4, you can use the search button and find contacts, although other features like creating new contacts, adding emails, categorizing them as well as labelling them aren’t available, we hope this might be added in future updates. The app can be downloaded on Watch 4 Play Store or the paired phone
Google’s Contact App
Google’s Contact app received a new UI recently and is going to be available via Playstore. A new tweak to the app is that, while previously you only get to update the software together with Wear OS 2 and earlier, on Wear OS 3, the app can be updated separately on the Play store.
Some noticeable tweaks on Google’s Contact app UI are the search button underneath a curved time, the Contacts appear like pill-shaped containers and the starred people are displayed first. Furthermore, contact complications can be added for quick calling and messaging on your watch face, the first initial of their name is used if an image isn’t available.
Google’s Contact app UI is not considered a very drastic update as outline-style icons are seen all through. From a screenshot on the Pixel Watch, four slots are seen with an analogue clock which might signify complication slots.
