How to Add Music to Snapchat Stories and Messages

If you’re familiar with Instagram, you’ll know that music stickers are one of the nicest additions to come to Instagram Stories. With just a few simple steps, you can add music to Snapchat stories and messages

With that in mind, Snapchat just implemented a similar feature, allowing you to add songs to your snaps and even link to Spotify to share your favorite music with your friends. We’ll show you how to do it in the first few steps in this guide.  So, without much further ado, let’s get started.

How to Add Music to Snapchat Stories and Messages

• To begin, launch Snapchat on your iPhone or Android device. Then, at the bottom of the main screen, tap or hold the circular shutter icon to shoot a photo or video.
• On the right side of your screen, tap the music note button.
• A pop-up music menu will appear. You can choose a song from Snapchat’s popular music choices or use the Search box to pick a personal favorite.
• Tap the play icon next to a song to preview it and add it to your Snap. There will be a bar at the bottom where you can choose which part of the music you wish to highlight.
• You don’t have to completely abandon your Snap if you want to alter the tune. Simply select another song from the music note icon by tapping the X icon to the right of the music bar.
• When you’re finished, tap the tick icon. Snapchat will place a small sticker on your screen with the song’s details (title and artist).
• If you don’t want the sticker in your Snap, simply drag it out of the frame and keep your audio track.
• Pinch the screen to make the sticker bigger or smaller. You may also move it around on the screen by dragging it across the screen.
• Press the music icon again, then tap Remove Sound at the bottom of the screen to remove or replace a song you’ve added to your Snap. Alternatively, you can drag the music details sticker to the trash icon at the bottom of the screen.
• If you wish, add cool filters to your Snap before sending it to your stories or as a message to a friend.
