The Xiaomi MIUI 12 is the company’s latest Android skin with lots of amazing features. Although it has been around for months now, some users are yet to master all the features. And one thing about the MIUI 12, that’s still confusing most people is how to enable the New MIUI 12 control center.

How to enable the new MIUI 12 control Center

You’ll notice that after downloading and installing the MIUI 12 update, instead of the new control center, the old one remains activated. The reason is that the new MIUI 12 control center is not enabled by default. After downloading the MIUI 12 update, you have to enable the new control center manually.

Luckily, enabling the new control center, is easy and anyone can do that within a few seconds. To do that, you need to access the settings and then follow the procedure below to get it working.

How to enable the new MIUI 12 control center

  • Step 1. Head over to Settings
  • Step 2. Navigate to Display >> Control center & notification shade
  • Step 3. Click on the toggle to enable the new MIUI 12 control center

Meanwhile, depending on your Xiaomi phone, the steps above might not work. I tried using it on my Redmi 5 Plus but didn’t see the Control Center & Notification shade. If you encounter such an issue, use the ‘search‘ in settings to search for it. When it pops up, click on the Notification shade and make your changes.

Aside from enabling the new MIUI 12 control center, you can as well perform some other functions. They include showing icons for incoming notification, show connection speed, show carrier when the device is locked, and others.
