Meta’s Threads, the new social media platform, has shown promising growth in its initial days of operation. However, users are eagerly awaiting additional functionalities to enhance their experience. Good news for Android users, as Meta has launched a Threads beta program on the Google Play Store, allowing early access to new features.
Join Threads beta program
Participating in the Threads beta program comes with the understanding that there might be some app instability, but it also offers the advantage of being among the first to try out upcoming features. While the specific features to be released first have not been disclosed, there is a long list of user requests from the millions who have already signed up.
Meta has confirmed that some highly requested features, such as a feed limited to accounts you follow, the ability to delete your Threads account without deleting Instagram, search functionality, editing capabilities, support for multiple accounts, thread translation, and hashtags, are in development.
Although early beta releases have not been rolled out yet, interested users can join the program by tapping “become a tester” and then checking for updates on the Play Store.
By offering the Threads beta program, Meta aims to gather valuable feedback from users and fine-tune the platform to meet their expectations. This move demonstrates Meta’s commitment to refining and expanding the capabilities of Threads to create a more engaging and comprehensive social media experience.
