Update Intel Graphics Driver in Windows 11/10

  • Go to the official intel website and download and install Intel Driver & Support Assistant.
  • Restart your PC.
  • Now look for the downloaded Assistant from the Start menu and launch it.
  • A link will be opened which will check if you are running the latest Driver.
  • If you are missing a driver, you will be presented with a list of drivers that can be installed on your PC.
  • Click on the Download button and install the file.
  • Restart your PC.

2. Install the Driver from the Intel Download Center Manually

If you know the driver you need for your PC, just head over to the Intel download center and install it manually. It is necessary to back up your PC and have a System restore in case something goes wrong.

  • Hit the Windows key and type system information, and select it when it pops up.
  • From the new window, take note of the Intel Processor number. You can write it down.
  • Head over to Intel Download Center and enter the Processor number in the search bar.
  • Choose your driver from the list.
  • Click Download and open the .EXE file.
  • Finish the installation and restart your PC.

3. Check Optional Updates in Windows

The last method is to use the optional updates in Windows. Windows usually release optional updates after various testing. So check if there’s been any new release and update from there. Here’s how:

  • Enter the Win+I keys to launch the Windows Settings app.
  • Select Windows Update from the left pane.
  • Click on the Advanced options button located on the right-hand side.
  • Under Additional options, select Optional updates.
  • Now expand Driver updates to check for updates on your Graphics or other Drivers.

With the above methods, you can be able to update your Graphics Driver which is an integral part of your computer.

To confirm that the Driver was successfully installed, press the Windows key and type device manager, then click on it when it pops up. Double-click on Display Adapters and select Intel Graphics device. Next, click the Driver tab and check that the Drive date and Driver Version are in line with what you’ve just installed.
