HyperOS beta testers recruitment has started

Xiaomi has announced that HyperOS beta recruitment has started. Unlike the previous enrollment, users must be on the latest Mi community app before their application will be successful. Also, the recruitment is for those using the device eligible for HyperOS upgrade.

Xiaomi HyperOS beta recruitment is now officially announced for global users. The latest Android skin, which started rolling out in China last year, was announced Globally a week ago. As expected, the company has started recruiting new beta testers for the upgrade.

The recruitment procedure has changed as interested users will apply from the Xiaomi Community app. Unfortunately, only global sites are eligible, but we expect more regions to get on board soon. To change to a Global site, launch the Mi community app and click ME>>Set up>>Change region. The app will log you out, log in again, and you will be on the Global Site.

How to apply for HyperOS beta recruitment using the Mi community app

If you’re using the latest Xiaomi community app v5.3.30 or higher, you can apply and become a stable beta tester by going to the app. Click on ME at the right bottom of the screen and then Beta Testing. Follow the screen prompts and register.

As a stable beta tester, you will receive HyperOS updates before everyone. While that’s enticing, it might not always go as planned. Sometimes, new updates can have bugs that might leave your device in a boot loop or other issues. You should be able to resolve such problems if they happen and also report them to Xiaomi developers. Ensure you can handle those situations before applying for the HyperOS beta recruitment exercise.

For those who have applied before, Xiaomi will retain your testing permissions only for some time. You are advised to apply again using the Mi community app. And remember to back up your data while ensuring you have a locked bootloader.
