iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro overheating issues resolved

A few days after shipping the iPhone 15 models, reports started surfacing of overheating issues with the device. The problem was suggested to be caused by some compromise made in the thermal system design, and the only way Apple could resolve the issue would be by lowering the A17 Pro Chipset.

Of course, Apple denied that claim and said there are no intentions of slowing the performance of the Chipset. They stressed that the combination of Titanium and Aluminum, which is used for the iPhone 15 Pro, has better heat dissipation than the stainless steel frame used on previous iPhones.

The company is now rolling out a new update, iOS 17.0.3, which supposedly addressed the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro overheating issues. There’s also a new update for the iPad with the version number iOSPad17.0.3. You can download the update via Settings>>General>>Software update.

Meanwhile, we don’t know if the latest update addressed the speaker issues, which are being reported widely. For now, we can’t confirm that, but we hope to do that in the coming days, but it doesn’t look like the update came with a fix for the sepaker bug, as Apple didn’t mention that in the update.
