Users of the iPhone 13 series took to Twitter and Reddit to lay complaints of battery drain since iOS 16. Getting the Pro Max of this smartphone is like a sure bet you’re going to get a decent amount of battery life, I mean, older models do better, so why not?. Well, the battery drain since iOS 16 is somewhat frustrating as users can’t even get a good amount of battery left after normal use.
Battery drain since iOS 16: what people have to say
A Redditor, Comfortable-key-71 says “Battery on 13 pro max drains like crazy. It went from 11-12hrs SOT to just 7hrs and it lags like hell when I do FaceTime or Pip, it just lags in general. I do know it takes a few days for the phone to be normal again but it’s already been almost a week. I’m contemplating on going back to 15.7 but I might need some opinions first.”
On Twitter, @Teachrrcoach said the reason she opted for the 13 Pro Max was to get the good stuff out of the battery but that isn’t playing out. In her words “Reason I purchased Pro Max was because of battery life, all that has changed after the iOS 16 update!” Another Twitter user with the user name @DeclanFOM explains just how bad the battery life has deteriorated on his iPhone. He tweets, “Went from 3 days use before needing to plug in – to 5to7 hours a day before needing a recharge! Grrrr!”. The complaints about the battery drain since iOS 16 go on and on across various platforms.
Well, for reference, there’s always a little drop in battery life after upgrading the iOS build. However, the iOS 16 landed, about two weeks ago – all the background tweaks should have settled now. Some users proposed that the battery drain since iOS 16 could be a stunt from Apple to get them upgraded to the iPhone 14 series.
Speaking of which, the iPhone 14 Plus will pass for the iPhone with the best amount of battery life compared to all other iPhones. But I mean, some people might not want an upgrade and the issue is frustrating, the complaints should surely pressure Apple to do something about it.
