The Pixel 7 and Pixel Pro users are being faced with some issues, which they believe Google might address in the next update. Scrolling performance and dead spots on display are a few of the issues expected to be addressed in a future build, but if you’re also waiting for the touch-and-hold to select text issues to be addressed, you can fix them yourself.
There have been a few reports about the touch and hold to select issues on Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, but it seems many people are having a problem using their devices. According to a Redditor, he has been having the issue for some time, which he didn’t experience before with his previous Pixel phones.
Initially, he thought it was a bug but could not find anything relating to that on Google search. However, he had to search deeper and was able to find a way to resolve the issue.
How to address touch and hold issues on Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro
Addressing the issue is easy and requires a few actions. If you believe your device is too sensitive when scrolling, you can adjust that heading to settings>>accessibility>>timing controls>>touch and hold delay. It’ll probably be set to “short”; you can select medium or long. Perhaps, short is too short, and medium is between short and long.
