January 2024 Play System updates have been released

While the Google Pixel phones and other Android phones are still in the November Play System update, the January 2024 Play System update has rolled out. The latest release brings new features and optimization, but when will it become available for Android users?

Every month, Google releases a new update to improve the stability of Android. With the latest release, the company has introduced some interesting features while resolving issues. According to the changelog, they have added Adaptive Sound tuning for Pixel Fold. Also, you can now style and resize live captions. 

January 2024 Play System update changelog 

Android System Intelligence U.14 (2024-01-08)

• [Phone] Added Adaptive Sound Tuning for Pixel Fold.
• [Phone] Live Captions – Added a new setting for caption size and style.

Google Play Store v39.2 (2024-01-08)

• [PC, Phone, TV] With updates to Google Play Protect, you’ll get improved notifications.

Unfortunately, we do not know when the update will become available. Even Pixel phones are still in the November 2023 update, and it takes months because the device starts getting a new Play System update. Nevertheless, you can check for the update via this link. 

To update your Google Play Store, head to the app, click on your profile icon and select Settings. Tap on About to open the drop-down menu and click on Update Play Store. Pixel phone users can update simultaneously from Settings>>Security & Privacy>>Updates>>Google Play System updates.
