The Xiaomi Mi A2 is on the last days of security support, but that hasn’t affected up-to-date security patch rollout. Xiaomi has been pushing security patch updates to the devices for months now, but as it stands, that might soon come to an end, given the Android One Policy. It promises two Android OS updates and at least three years of security support, and Mi A2 has been enjoying that for the past 33 months or so.
Xiaomi released the Mi A2 in July 2019 with Android 8.1 (Oreo). It’s a reworked Mi 6X, which has stopped receiving any form of support. That’s not the case for the former, and as expected, Xiaomi is now pushing the June security patch update for the Mi A2 Globally. It has a version number – V11.0.27.0 QDIMIXM – and as usual, will optimize system performance. The update also improves system security and stability while fixing some minor bugs.
Of course, it’s based on Android 10, which is the last for the device. It has already picked up two Android OS since hitting the shelves: Android 9 and 10, and could stop receiving security patch updates after next month. Meanwhile, the June security patch update for the Mi A2 is a stable release, meaning it has been released for everyone. However, it might take some time before appearing on your device, given the nature of OTAs.
That said, you can follow the links below and download the ROM and flash manually. Luckily, no bugs are affecting this build, and for those that prefer flashing Fastboot ROMs, you can also find the link below.
