As more people receive the HyperOS update, more bugs are being uncovered. These problems affect your experience using your Xiaomi phone after upgrading to the latest OS, but some of them are what you can resolve.
There have been some report from early adopters of HyperOS update. While the update is still rolling out, those running the build are reporting issues they face using their phones. We recommend checking theses bugs before installing the Android 14-based HyperOS.
Xiaomi made some improvements with HyperOS. They were able to improve animation while making some few UI tweaks. However, these new changes seems to be causing some issues for some people. According to report, some users when selecting wallpaper in the lock screen editing interface, it will return them to the lock screen interface.
Also, the update broke dark mode support for the settings app while wallpaper can not be set for Lockscreen. Interestingly, the MiSan Font doesn’t seem to display well on apps, especially in WeChat.

Because some system apps are yet to adapt to Android 14 is probably the reason for some of these problems. We expect a second Android 14-based HyperOS build to resolve these issues. However, you can perform a factory reset to address some of the bugs, but make sure you have a back up of your data. You can learn how to back up and restore your files here on Xiaomi phones.
