Xiaomi MIUI is one of the most sophisticated customs Android skin out there. With each iteration of MIUI, Xiaomi adds tons of features and improvement, as we witnessed with the MIUI 12.5. They never stopped and have continued to improve MIUI with each update. And with the latest Mi Video player app, it’s now possible to download videos from multiple social media platforms. It includes platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and more.

The procedure for downloading videos from these platforms is essentially the same. All you need is the link to the video and then add it to the latest Mi Video player app to download. Interestingly, the Mi video supports multiple video formats; MKV, MP4, M4V, MOV, AVI, and more. 

And aside from introducing the above features, the latest Mi Video player app has improved the performance of the app. It has a version number – V2021040200(MiVideo-GP) – and is for global MIUI users. The update weighs in at 60MB. To install, you need a google package installer, especially if you’re on Android 11 or above. 

How to download and install the latest Mi Video player app

  • Step 1. Download the APK file from this link
  • Step 2. After downloading, click on the three dots and choose a move to downloads
  • Step 3. Head over to the device downloads folder, look for the APK, and tap on it to start the Installation
  • Step 4. On completion, close the package installer and launch the app.

How to download a video using the latest Mi Video player app

  • Step 1. Copy the link to the video you wish to download
  • Step 2. Launch the Mi video player app and paste the link on the search bar
  • Step 3. Search for the video and when it pops up, click on the download button on the screen
  • Step 4. The video will download. You can check the download folder for all videos you ha e downloaded.

Update: November 19, 2021

A new version of the Mi Video has been released to global users. The app is pushing a new update with a version number – V2021111900 – and weighs in about 61MB. According to the update log, after upgrading your Mi Video player, the app will support the below functions;

  • Support Background playback;
  • Added Dark mode;
  • Online videos can be downloaded and saved as local files now;
  • You can Zoom in/out videos.

Xiaomi is pushing some new features to the MIUI Global Mi Video player app. The update has a version number – V202108300 – and weighs in at 60MB. It has added Dark Mode, support for background playback. Also, online videos can be downloaded and save as local files while you can zoom in/out videos. Download here.

There’s a new update rolling out that has improved file management and revamped UI. Also, online videos can be saved as local files after this update, while it will also be possible to zoom in and out during playback. The update version is V2021080500 and it comes in a 70MB package. Download here

Update: 12/07/2021

A new global update is been pushed to the Mi Video player app. It brings a new UI redesign with a better file management. The update has also added more powerful video player function such as zoom in / out with that new improved UI. It’s a 68MP package and has a version number -;V2021070900. Download here.
