The update is now available in Europe as MIUI 12.0.8.0 QJFEUXM. You can download using tht link below…
The POCO M3 debuted at the tail of last year with Android 10 on top of MIUI 12. That makes the device eligible for Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 upgrades, but none has started seeding for the device at the moment. The former is more likely to become available soon, given the rate Xiaomi is rolling out the update. So far, about 25 eligible phones have bagged the update, and we expect the list to keep expanding. However, the latest POCO M3 update is based on Android 10 and brings an updated security patch while fortifying the device for what’s ahead.
The update, for now, is limited to selected users globally. Xiaomi will wait on the outcome of the preview before a public rollout. The preview is expected to last for a couple of days, and until it is completed and successful, that’s when the latest POCO M3 update will start arriving for everyone. Meanwhile, from the feedback, the update is safe, at least. There hasn’t been an issue with the performance nor any bug. However, if you want to be very sure, you can wait for the preview results before installing.
And from reports, the update has a version number – MIUI 12.0.6.0 QJFMIXM – and weighs in at 661MB. It optimized system performance, improved security and stability, as per the changelog. You’d notice an updated Android security patch level, which now dates 2021-03-01. Also, the update fixed minor bugs and fortified the device for the Android 11 upgrade.
