The Redmi Note 10 recently got a successor – Redmi Note 11 – though the phone is yet to arrive in the global market. And like that former, it runs Android 11 outside of the box, and according to reports, it’s currently on Internal testing for Android 12. Of course, both phones will receive a new Android OS upgrade, but that should be next year. And while we are optimistic about that, the latest Redmi Note 10 update has introduced a much-anticipated feature.
The latest Redmi Note 10 update is currently seeding for global and Indian ROM users. It comes with a version number – MIUI 12.5.4.0 RKGMIXM and MIUI 12.5.3.0 RKGINXM, respectively. The build weighs in at about 408MB and has supposedly bumped the Android security patch level to October. That has increased system security and stability, and as usual, it has addressed some issues.
Interestingly, the new update has delivered that RAM Extension feature. It’s a function that converts part of the device’s internal storage to virtual RAM. Depending on your device storage configuration, you get 1GB, 2GB, or 3GB virtual RAM. You can check if that feature has been enabled on your device and also learn how to activate it via this link.
Meanwhile, the latest Redmi Note 10 update is on a limited rollout. The update is currently seeding for Mi Pilots for preview. It will be available for that public in the coming days, but you can use the link below this post to download the ROM.
