Android 13 has been eyed by all phone brands and I mean who wouldn’t want good software like the Android 13. The Android 13 generally is bringing in sleek features like improved security and privacy control, smart home access, Material You pallette, and audio and media enhancements among other amazing feats. Meanwhile, the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro Android 13 beta 2 is now available.
The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro Android 13 beta 2 is available via the Lenovo Developer Preview Program. It is worth noting that it comes in with the June SMR. Furthermore, it’s only model TB-Q706F, which is the global WiFi-only variant that gets the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro Android 13 beta 2. As interesting as the news is, the update comes in with some shortcomings.
Limitations to the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro Android 13 beta 2
- Fingerprint unlock is not supported.
- Face Unlock is not supported.
- TOF sensor-related function is removed.
- The stylus key function is not supported but the basic functionality works.
- Touchpad functions with two fingers are not supported.
- Touchpad swipes up/down/left/right with 3 or 4 fingers are not supported.
- Miracast function is not supported.
- Screen output via cable (extended screen) can be supported when <force desktop mode> is turned on in the developer menu.
- Cast Via HDMI (extended screen) can be supported when <force desktop mode> is turned on in the developer menu.
- VPN is not tested and may not work properly.
- WIDI is not supported.
- Video play may face audio issues.
- Settings may display abnormal sometimes, re-selecting or cleaning recent apps can make it work properly.
Meanwhile, the package can be gotten via the Lenovo website. The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro Android 13 beta 2 seems to be a bit late since the Big G has started the beta 4 program and the stable version is in sight. However, we don’t know if Lenovo will release more builds or will just delve into the stable build.
