The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro have been in the news for some time now, with rumors hinting at an early leak. It’s said to be the first Chinese smartphone to feature the yet-to-announce Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 premium SoC. The chip will arrive officially on December 1, which is date for Qualcomm’s annual Technology summit.
Early reports from a well known Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station, said that the Snapdragon 875 SoC will be exclusive to Xiaomi for some time in China. He also leaked some of the device features and has just posted on his Twitter page a photo of two new devices, which Gizchina believes is the live image of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro.
The caption of the post says, “see you at the end of the year.” If the phones are the next Xiaomi premium phones, it means the announcement will be earlier than expected, probably before the end of this year.
Looking at the supposed live image of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro, the duo will feature a punch hole for the self camera, contrary to the rumored under-screen camera. One of the phones will feature a flat-screen, while the other one, probably the Mi 11 Pro, will keep the curved side display from the predecessor.
There is no information from the image about the back panel of the device, but going by previous leaks, it will house a Quad-camera setup. According to Digital Chat Station, the 13MP ultrawide angle-lens on the Mi 10 will be replaced by a 48MP module with a 0.8µm. The primary sensor is expected to feature an improved 108MP snapper while the battery is likely to be increased to 5000mAh.
We hope to learn more about the device in the coming weeks, and if the rumors are true, we expect the company to start releasing official posters soon.
