It’s been quite a journey for Mi A2. A phone which debuted in 2018, running Android 8.1 (Oreo). However, the device has since updated to Android 10, and now Mi A2 Android 10 stable is beginning to arrive.
The update is arriving with some bug fixes and System Optimization. It weighs 1.2GB and is coming along with December Android Security Patch.

- Dark theme
- Gesture Navigation
- Privacy control
The update has been smooth as there haven’t been any major complaints except for the UI glitching at some places while VoWifi is still missing. The system performance has been excellent, and battery performance also got some enhancement.
Mi A2 Android 10 stable is already arriving in Europe, India, and some other parts of the world. It would be best to wait for the OTA, incase any critical bug is discovered. Often, updates are called back to initiate a new phase when there’s a serious threat, however, you can still follow this link to download the Mi A2 Android 10 stable ROM.

You can check the OTA by navigating to Settings> About device> System updates. It’s better to wait for the OTA, but you can always use the download link above. But before you do, make sure you know how to flash Xiaomi ROMs, and know you will be asked to unlock your bootloader.
Unfortunately, the new Android OS is likely the last that would be sent to Mi A2. Google only promised two OS updates for any device on their Android One program, and the Xiaomi Mi A2 is currently getting the second Android upgrade.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi A3 is still eligible for the next Android update but is yet to receive Android 10. We expect the update to start arriving any time from now.
