Xiaomi unveils Mi CC9e as Mi A3

In line with our last post on Mi A3, Xiaomi official unveils the device today in India.
It means the screen remains a 6.1-inch OLED display of 720 x 1560p resolution and considering that Mi A2 has a 1080p screen, the Mi A3 losses out on the display.

Also, the processor didn’t get a major upgrade. It’s Snapdragon 665 and has no major performance upgrade from last year’s Snapdragon 660. Xiaomi Mi A3 will run pure Android Pie outside the box.

The major upgrade, however, comes in the camera department. On the rear panel is three camera lens consisting of a 48MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide angle lens and 2MP depth cam. The selfie camera sitting inside the notch is a 32MP selfie snapper and can shoot 1080p@30 video. Meanwhile, the rear camera can record 2160p video @30fps or 1080p @120fps.

While the camera received some boost from last year’s model, the battery did also with 4030mah against 3000mAh on Mi A2. It supports 18W Quick charging via USB-C port. And just like the Mi CC9e for biometric authentication, there’s an in-screen reader, while the 3.5mm head makes a comeback. The device will be available in just three colors, Blue, White, and Gray.

For pricing and availability, the device will first out on sale in Spain from July 24 for €250. You can pre-order here.
