On December 28, 2020, Xiaomi introduced the MIUI 12.5 in China. The event also saw the unveiling of the first Snapdragon-888 powered device – Mi 11, which is about to make its global debut. According to a recent report, the MIUI 12.5 global launch will also see the global presentation of the Xiaomi Mi 11.
Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Mi 11 globally on February 8. And going by the latest poster released by official Xiaomi, the MIUI 12.5 global launch will also take place on that same date. That’s what happened with the Chinese unveiling, and hence, we expect to see MIUI 12.5 announcement before the Mi 11 on the said date.
The MIUI 12.5 is the latest Xiaomi Android skin. It presents some features, which are likely to include a haptic feedback system. The feature allows you to get realistic feedback when interacting with your device. Other features of the MIUI 12.5 include MIUI+, revamped note app, and natural system sound. It also improves the stability of the current version and optimizes system performance.
All those features are expected to be presented globally on February 8. After the presentation, the company will release the official list of the device that’ll receive the update. They’ll also communicate the details of the global beta program and list of phones to participate in the program.

That said, we will be on the lookout for additional information about the MIUI 12.5 global launch, but we don’t expect a big difference from the Chinese version. And according to the Chinese rollout schedule, the stable version of the update will start rolling out in April with Mi 11 on the first wave. That means the Mi 11 will run MIUI 12 globally pending the public rollout of MIUI 12.5 update. You can follow this link and check out all the features of the latest Xiaomi Android skin.
