Xiaomi started the stable MIUI 12.5 rollout in China after completing the beta phase that lasted for some months. The Xiaomi Mi 10 was among the first few devices that received the new MIUI OS in that region. A couple of days ago, the update arrived for the global models. That has now extended to the European variants. However, Xiaomi is prioritizing Mi Pilots to preview this ROM before commencing the public rollout in the coming days.
A few weeks back, Xiaomi started recruiting Beta Stable testers after bug complaints of its MIUI updates. The idea is to have a group of people test each build before it gets to the public. As a Beta tester, you should be able to live with bugs and issues that might arise from flashing an update. If that’s what you can do, head here and fill your application, and hopefully, you will be selected.
Meanwhile, the MIUI 12.5 update for Mi 10 in Europe doesn’t have any bug, and hence, the public will soon start getting a notification for a new update. It has a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RJBEUXM – and weighs in at 1.2GB. Again, many features are missing, which once proves that Xiaomi is prioritize the Chinese users when it comes to feature-rich builds. However, the basic optimization that comes with the update is there while the Android security patch level has been bumped to May 2021 to increase system security.
It’s still unclear when other regions will get the update or plans for public rollout. However, you can use the link below to download the ROM and use the recovery method to flash. And should that return an error, give it some days and try again, otherwise wait for the OTA.
