When you thought Xiaomi is about taking a break and it turns out they’re just starting. Just a few days after the official unveiling in MIUI 12, which took place in China on 27TH April, the company has confirmed that it has started developing MIUI 13.
The news came directly from Xiaomi’s official MIUI research team, which they shared on Mi community China immediately after the MIUI 12 launch. The post also stresses that interested users who wish to participate in a feature design survey to get in. Head to the source link if you want to participate.
Meanwhile, the company is yet to start the MIUI 12 stable roll out in China or has it released the roadmap for the global deployment, but has started developing MIUI 13 – the company’s next Android skin. It clearly shows a great intent on what the company wants to achieve as well as affirm the popular quotation by the Chinese company; “Dedication has no limitations.”
The Xiaomi MIUI 13 will debut next year, but the early development shows how committed the company is with its operating system. The head of MIUI before he started the presentation of MIUI 12 said that “software is the soul of mobile phones, and it is more important than hardware to some extent” That again shows how highly Xiaomi rates its MIUI operating system.
Unfortunately, there’s no news on the possible MIUI features, but we hope to get a clue on that in the future. Meanwhile, the global launch for the newly launched MIUI 12 is yet to be announced. However, there’s an online event that will take place on April, 30TH probably to launch the Redmi Note 9 series in Europe, and we hope to learn about the Global launch of the MIUI 12 as well.
