Android Auto remains one of the problematic Google apps on the Play Store. Though it gets a new update almost every week, these updates seem to introduce a new bug. The users have been complaining of their disappearing Navigation bar, but it seems the problem isn’t related to an Android Auto update.
Google recently released a new Android Auto 10.6 update. Perhaps the release didn’t address the Navigation bar issues, as it is not a problem with the app. According to a report, the bug is caused by the Google App, and updating it resolves the issues.
Android Auto users started reporting issues with their navigation bar disappearing, leaving behind a black space weeks ago. It’s an important function as it allows switching between apps, initiating voice assistant, and accessing the home screen and app drawer. Since the problem started, the Android Auto function has been limited to only using Google Maps, but you can now enjoy the full functionality.
How to fix the disappearing Navigation bar issue on Android Auto
It was suggested that leaving the Android Auto beta program resolves the issue. And while that did work for some people, it’s not the best way to resolve the issue. Instead of leaving the beta program, head to the Play Store and update the Google app. It should fix all bugs, making the navigation bar disappear.
