It’s been months since the first Android 11-based MIUI 12 update arrived for the Mi 10. The update came for the Chinese user before making it Global users and finally arrived in Europe and India. However, all these regions received the update with an October security patch, and it looks like an updated version is now arriving with the current builds.
According to the latest report, those in Europe are now receiving a new Android 11-based MIUI 12 update for Mi 10. The update is coming with a version number, MIUI 12.2.4.0 RJBEUXM, and weighs in at about 787MB. That for OTA, though, the full recovery ROM weighs 3.1GB, and you can download it via the link below.
Meanwhile, as per the changelog, the update brings the December 2020 security patch and improved the system security. It also brings a stable MIUI based Android 11 for those yet to upgrade for the first time. And if you’re upgrading for the first time, you should back up your before installing the update.
The reason you should back up the device data is the instability of cross-section Android upgrades. It’s also a Beta stable build and might contain bugs. You might need to perform a factory reset to fix some of the bugs, and that’s where the backup will come in handy.
