Xiaomi, according to our last report, will confirm the official launch date of the Redmi Note 9 5G series tomorrow. The device is said to debut on November 24 in China but could be making its global debut shortly after the Chinese launch.
One of the Redmi Note 9 5G series has been spotted on Singapore’s IMDA certification listing, which no doubt confirms the global availability of the device. The device is listed as M2007J22G, where the last letter “G” stands for Global. The model number suggests it’s the same device as the Redmi Note 9 5G that appeared on TENAA a couple of days ago. As per the listing, the device will support, of course, 5G and NFC.
According to Mukul Sharma, the device will answer Redmi Note 10 5G on the global market, which is likely to be true considering how Xiaomi gives its device a new name in every market. However, we still hope to get official confirmation from the company to back the claim.
For now, only the vanilla model of the Redmi Note 9 5G series has been tipped for a global launch. However, we expect both phones to arrive on the global market as Redmi Note 10 5G and Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G.

The device will sport a 6.53-inch LCD panel and will run a Mediatek Dimensity 800U Octa-Core processor with multiple memory configuration. It will use a primary 48MP sensor at the back while the front snapper will feature a single 13MP module. The battery capacity is 5000mAh with a 22.5W fast charging solution, and we could as well see a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
We also hope to find additional information about this new Redmi Note 9 5G series phone in the coming days. Also, if the rumored launch date is true, we expect official teasers from the Chinese OEM.
