Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 5G series launching next week, official confirmation expected tomorrow

It makes sense the rumor of the new Redmi Note 9 5G launching next week in China. For some weeks now, the device has been on the rumor mill. It appeared on TENAA recently to solidify the rumors and also hint at an imminent launch. And according to the latest leak from a tipster, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 5 series will be launching next week.

According to Abhishek Yadav, The Redmi Note 9 5G series will launch on November 24 in China. Two phones will be making their debut on that day, which according to previous leaks, are Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. The duo will feature Dimensity 800U and Snapdragon 750G SoC, respectively.

The Redmi Note 9 5G with Dimensity 800U is rumored to cost CNY 1,000 (~$152) while the Snapdragon 750G-powered Note 9 5G will start at CNY 1,500 (~$227). Xiaomi is expected to confirm the launch date later today or tomorrow, according to a Chinese tipster, and we hope they will also tease the official price.

Going by the previous leaks, one of the phones, supposedly the Redmi Note 9 5G, will feature a 6.53-inch IPS LCD. There will be at least a 48MP sensor at the back while the front camera will feature a 13MP shooter. It will have a 5000mAh battery and support 22.5W charging.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will sport a 6.67-inch panel with Snapdragon 750G SoC under the hood. It will feature a primary 108MP module and a 16MP selfie snapper while a 4820mAh battery will power the entire system. There’s a 33W Fast charging solution that’ll juice up the device in less than an hour.

We hope to learn more about the device in the coming days, and if the launch date is true, we expect to start seeing official teasers from Xiaomi.
