The Meta boss, Mark Zuckerberg, must have thought “Whatsapp has got a lot of new features, let Facebook get in on the fun”. Mark Zuckerberg is rolling out a new Facebook feature that lets you customize your feed.
Facebook has been known for its numerous attractive features and this is just an addition to the others. The new Facebook feature helps you select the feed you want, in other words, filter out the irrelevant content from your news feed. It doesn’t specifically list out contents you choose from but gradually trains the algorithm to not reveal that particular type of content you don’t want.
The new Facebook feature brings in a “Show More” and “Show Less” button just below a particular content with a prompt asking if you want to continue seeing content like that. That said, the “Show More” and “Show Less” buttons won’t be appearing on all the posts on your feed, just some. However, Meta is planning to add it to the three-dot menu present at the top right of every post.
Furthermore, Instagram Reels might be getting the “new Facebook feature” soon as Mark Zuckerberg has begun testing. The feature is similar to that in YouTube where you get to filter out some video content too but let’s see how efficient the feature will thrive on Facebook.
Another new Facebook feature?
The Meta Boss is planning to add the ability to create multiple profiles on one Instagram or Facebook account. This feature will help users connect with groups and platforms based on differentiated profiles. Facebook is becoming more interesting, one would say.
