New Global Redmi 9 stable update released. Download below…
Ahead of the global MIUI 13 release, a handful of Xiaomi phones have received a new stable update. The updates are probably to fortify them for a seamless upgrade to the latest iteration of MIUI, which might start seeding after the launch event on January 26. While the Redmi 9 will receive the update much later, a new stable update has been available for the global units. It’s a security patch build based on the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition.
Xiaomi released the Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 to the global Redmi 9 users in December 2021. As usual with OTA releases, some units are yet to release the update. However, we expect the update to go round with the latest release that comes in a 543MB package. It has a version number – MIUI 12.5.4 RJCMIXM, meaning it’s exclusive for the global models
Nevertheless, we expect the European and other regions to start pushing the update in the coming weeks. And if you’re running the global ROM, we recommend visiting the updater app for the new update. We also added a link below this post if you opt for manual installation, but backup your files before proceeding.
After the upgrade, you’d notice a new security patch level, meaning system security and stability have been improved. Performance has been optimized, while some bugs were addressed.
